Memory Question WRT54G

Post by fi5ban »

I have a linksys wrt54g v2 router after loading the latest ver.1.3.10 I have 11.8MB / 13.1MB (90.4%) I will be using the web page and search tracker (1 of the main reasons I choice gargoyle) but over time will this along with other cause any issue like short or out of memory issues ????? causing it to lock up or slow down???

I have been trying to incorporate gargoyle or xwrt for over a year now as well as I am resisting dd-wrt.

I would like to say bravo on the new version not sure if it is a repeater yet but I was able to setup both routers on the same subnet which is something else been working on for over a year :P ;)

Thanks to all who work on this project it is nice to see it continue to grow

Gargoyle works with this hardware as long as you do not have too many connections. I suggest you lower your connection limit to 1024.

If you run out of memory it will be because you overloaded things with too many users.

Yea, 16MB Ram routers are pretty much not good for hard-core
users anymore - you really need 32MB of Ram to run it well.
