X-fta dongle does not reset

x-FTA Dongle does not reset and you cannot access the router with the 192.168.1.1.
Do you know of any solutions?

You might have to recover via serial console or jtag

I don't think this is even available in the USA.

It looks like these are really touchy / flaky units

Might have to RMA the thing if you can't reset/recover.

Has anyone figured out how to reset these? I think I have bricked and need to unbrick it.

This is what you have to do to reset the router.

1 hold the reset button for 40s then wait for 2mins.
2 After 2mins unplug the router then plug it back in.
3 Wait 3mins then connect the cat five cable to a lan port to you pc type 192.168.1.1 and you should be in.

when i thought my x-fta was bricked what i did was the 30/30/30. thats 1 min with reset being pushed with power, holding reset remove power and wait 1min, then holding reset pot power back on and hold reset 1 min. it took 2 or 3 times but did return to working.

same problem here... can´t access the router. tryed everything you suggest guys. i think the next step is the jtag. does anyone knows how to do it?

here ismy problem, i can log in to gargoyke software make my password but when i do the connection set up scan for my wifi, put in the pass word for it, i hit save and thats as far as i get it will not save and i loose the page, then i have to reset the x-fta dongle , buy pushing the button on the back and try again, tried it on my i mac and my windows 7 laptop any other way to propgame this other than the lan line???????????????
