I have a gargoyle flashed router (1.3.5) and have setup the wireless to be WPA2 PSK and my iphone 4 (4.2.1) wont connect.
I've had windows devices connect correctly.
Any else seen this? Know of a solution?
edit: WEP works fine.

Re: iphone and wpa2 psk
I use Garogyle and WPS2-PSK. My iphone (original) runs v3.1.2 and connects very reliably.
I am currently using Gargoyle v1.3.9 but have used pretty much all the versions over last year without issue in this regard.
What router are you using? Do you have any other devices that connection to it with WPA2-PSK? I have used the WRT54G series and the TP-Link WR714ND.

Re: iphone and wpa2 psk
You may want to try a more recent version of Gargoyle. I haven't personally encountered any problems with wireless, but the newer versions are based on more recent versions of OpenWrt which have newer versions of the ath9k driver (which is what these routers use).

flashed to 1.3.9, still no go

Re: iphone and wpa2 psk
You did not give a complete model number for the router you are using but I am not sure that any Buffalo routers are supported by Gargoyle.
Also http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... ?f=8&t=996 might be related.
Perhaps others could comment on this.

Re: iphone and wpa2 psk
pbix: I'm pretty sure he means this one: http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/buffalo/wzr-hp-g300h, which should be supported (though I don't own this particular model to test -- there are a TON of different AR71xx models, and it's not realistic to buy all, or even most of them).
The wireless on that model is ath9k just like your TP-Link 741ND, so the wireless should be the same.

Re: iphone and wpa2 psk
thanks all for the feedback.
Looks like this not has a custom firmware but custom hardware as well.
I got onto this unit through this post

Which indicates it's a buffalo in a belkin case with the wireless chip changed??
Might be time to look for other hardware...
