Could someone help?

Post by Baron3K »

Hello I have a router based upon Atheros AR2317 chip, 4mbytes of flash and 16mbytes of ram, Infineon switch chip ADM6996FC.

For several months it worked with DD-WRT image that fits exacly Netgear WGT624v4. I tried to load Gargoyle verison 1.3.9. I flashded it in RedBoot console. Afters flashing device booted up. Semms like it is working but not in 100%. I have some wierd issues about commiting changes to flash. Device is not saving any changes that have been made.

Also i have another strange issue ony one ethernet port out of 5(total) works, maybe i could enable more ports but when device is not saving anything anyway it might be a little bit difficult.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year,

GreetZ

Can you take a picture of the internals?

Or do you have details on the chips that control the LAN ports?

I wonder if the chips are not fully supported in the drivers yet?

And 4 MB / 16 MB might be WAY too low to run the 1.3.x
series of firmware for Gargoyle...

This is what my router is using - and its a BASIC config, no QoS, etc.

Device Name:Gargoyle
Gargoyle Version:1.3.9
Device Configuration:Gateway
Memory Usage:31.2MB / 60.5MB (51.6%)
Connections:47/4096
CPU Load Averages:0.00 / 0.00 / 0.00 (1/5/15 minutes)

No special setup and I'm already using about 32MB of Ram!

2x Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH V1 A0D0 = Gargoyle 1.9.x / LEDE 17.01.x
