Oh sweet, got that reset sorted. Thanks!
Now there's another problem and this feels bad ;O
After messing around with trying to get it to work in conjunction with the other router, but failing, I decided to try it alone, replacing the first router. But I found something odd, that the WRT 1200 AC couldn't detect the ethernet cable coming from the main switch, which has many clients attached to it. I tried it in the different ports, none worked, while the ethernet connecting to the wireless router worked fine. I tried changing cables but no luck. Only the ethernet from the main switch doesn't work.
Is this a router limitation perhaps?

It should work in that configuration fine.
A crossover cable may be required but that’s unlikely.

Re: Flashing on a WRT 1200 AC v2
Is there a way to forward IPs to external IPs in Gargoyle?
Re: Flashing on a WRT 1200 AC v2
If Gargoyle was doing the DHCP, I think you could do it with dnsmasq. Without it, I think a firewall rule would be required to redirect traffic.
We probably can’t help you write that here

I'm trying gargoyle with the DHCP now, but please would you point me to dnsmasq in the documentation? I can't seem to find it..

You can definitely redirect URLs. Maybe IP to IP requires firewall rule
