Re: Version 1.10.0 : New stable version with critical security fixes
Hi,
I've upgraded my WR741Nv2 1.9.2 to 1.10.0 successful.
When I've tried to upgrade my WR842NDv2 1.9.2 to 1.10.0, after my router rebooted, it stay in 1.9.2 (the same happens preserving or not the settings).
I'm thinking to return the original firmware so try to put 1.10.0.
Someone have any idea? Thanks

Has anyone installed this version on a D-Link DIR-835 rev. A1router?
Re: Version 1.10.0 : New stable version with critical security fixes
Ultimately fell back to 1.9.2 after experiencing random WiFi lags, drops and connection failures during periods of high utilization. Suspect it *may* have been temperature related as problem would spontaneously resolve after a few minutes. CPU and memory loads were fine. No prior baseline or ability to monitor CPU temps so performing further diagnostics would be speculative - especially on a $20 USD gizmo. While I like to remain current w/firmware the hardware is old and does not take advantage of newer functionality. This pup (and several siblings) will stay on 1.9.2 until they naturally expire.Davey126 wrote:FWIW - applied 1.10.0 to an ancient TP-Link TL-WR841NDV7 (Rosewill RNX-N300RT variant) running 1.9.2 preserving all settings. Updated without a hitch; been stable for 24+ hours.
Obviously 4MB routers can be problematic, especially if extensively configured. That said, I have yet to experience an upgrade issue on these little workhorses starting with the 1.6 branch. Only cleared settings when explicitly instructed to do so. YMMV.

Sorry for my English grammar, I use google translation!
TP_LINK 1043ND V1 1.8.1 normal use, upgrade to 1.10.0。
If the use of QOS (upload), the system will continue to reboot.
If do not enable QOS (upload) on all normal!

If you are using Layer 7 filtering, disable it.dreams_idea wrote:Sorry for my English grammar, I use google translation!

Otherwise a failsafe reset and setup again.
If you continue to have problems please share your configuration.

This may or may not be a Gargoyle issue.
Not sure but there may be a problem with wifi. I upgraded a few weeks ago to v1.10 on a WNDR3800 and since then we seem to have been having some wifi flakiness. Devices not visible on the network (even though connected), being able to connect to devices then not then connect then not etc. Its erratic.
Have just turned off the wifi on the gargoyled WNDR3800 and swapped to a DLink 868L as a wireless access point and the number of devices visible on my network just doubled.
I have about 60 static ip addresses assigned in gargoyle and a lot of active devices on my network. As above, not sure quite what is going on but almost looks like a number of devices problem. Will keep exploring but thought I'd share just in case others are having anything similar.

Did you preserve settings on upgrade?
Re: Version 1.10.0 : New stable version with critical security fixes
Yes, preserved settings and everything looked fine. But have been having some erratic behavior fromwireless devices which seemed to be losing connectivity intermittently.
Switching to the dlink as an ap seems to have fixed those issues.
