Wi-Fi stops working after 2 days on Archer C7v2
Might anyone have an idea if there was any Wi-Fi related changes in the image released on May 25?
So far this is the ONLY release my Archer C7v2 has a stable 2.4/5.0GHz Wi-Fi (could run for 1.5 month w/o reboot).
When running any other firmware (including the one published on Oct 25), 2.4 Wi-Fi stops working after 2 days (wlan just disappears and all wireless client got dropped), 5.0 Wi-Fi lasts for a few more hours and then fails too.
Rebooting the router fixes the problem for another couple of days
Please suggest. Thank you.

Re: Wi-Fi stops working after 2 days on Archer C7v2
logread returned no errors.
Although the 2.4MHz network is visible, devices can't connect to it. 5.0MHz network works fine.

Re: Wi-Fi stops working after 2 days on Archer C7v2
when I'm trying to connect to 2.4Mhz network in "zombie" state, I see the following entries in syslog:
After several tries (with no luck), my tablet connects automatically to 5.0MHz network as a failsafe option.

Re: Wi-Fi stops working after 2 days on Archer C7v2
Always wondered what this means, since i only use WPA2 encryption, and this eventually shows up when some client is having problems (keep connecting/disconnecting/reconnecting), for no apparent reason.Sat Nov 18 00:58:15 2017 daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA 68:05:71:75:96:8e RADIUS: starting accounting session BFBCDFFCB98C0052
I used to have this problem quite often with my WR842ND, does issuing "wifi" command solves the problem? Probably yes, but only temporarily.
Logread didn't show anything relevant other than what you've described. What helped to shed a light, in this case, was gathering data from the following commands when that happened:
Code: Select all
cat /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy1/ath9k/ani
cat /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy1/ath9k/reset
cat /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy1/ath9k/queues

No. Although the 2.4MHz network is visible but no one can connect to it. Previosely connected devices get disconnected.Lantis wrote:Can other devices connect when it is like that?
