MS: If you have the patches from last Patch Tuesday installed, you're already patched.
As for Android, all I've heard about that is Google is going to handle it for some devices via their usual monthly "Android security patch level" -- starting at the usual time next month. I'm sure some OEMs will push out their own fixes.

Installed on my Archer C5 V1, working so far. Routing problems persist, see my last post in the thread on the october 13th build. It may or may not be a problem with my ISP.
Other than that, all basic functions are working, and I'm yet again seeding the ISPY builds.
Regards
Ektus.

Lantis - does the "don't preserve settings" hold true for the WRT1900ACS build as well?

How far back are you coming from?emacsomancer wrote:Lantis - does the "don't preserve settings" hold true for the WRT1900ACS build as well?
There was a kernel version jump in the last few weeks but it shouldn’t have caused any incompatibility.
People who use openvpn probably should not preserve due to changes there.

I know it probably sounds lazy, but if I disable openvpn, preserve and update, then re-enable/configure openvpn, is that a valid way to sidestep it? I'm at 1.9.X from 06/13 and also looking for the least impacting way to upgrade. Thanks!Lantis wrote:How far back are you coming from?emacsomancer wrote:Lantis - does the "don't preserve settings" hold true for the WRT1900ACS build as well?

I’m not sure to be honest. Some of the certificates changed so I’m inclined to say you need to regenerate everything.

Just for interest with this version (and ones before) I sometimes get a corrupt config and get into a reboot loop.
If you setup a good config it will work forever.
But if you play with the config settings it is possible to break the router config.
failsafe reset fix's the problem.
This has been a problem with gargoyle for sometime, so don't blame this version
