Bandwidth, quotas, connection limits not working

I'm using a Archer C7 (TP-Link AC1750) on the latest Gargoyle 1.9.2. I set it up as a AP+WDS. The network cable from my main Netgear router is plugged into a yellow port of the Archer C7 (not the blue port so no WAN set up).

I want my kids to be able to connect to this one so I can control their bandwidth, connection limits, and quotas (to keep control of their xbox and other devices). But it seems none of these features work.

I'm no expert in setting up routers (actually I have very little knowledge about them) so if anyone has any suggestions, please be detailed. Thanks for any help.

Ok thank you. I kind'a figured that would be the case. I switched the routers around (swapped them) and will set up the Netgear as the wifi access point. Hoping the configured internet caps and bandwidth speed will still be active on the Archer C7 even if the kids are accessing the Netgear AP.
