WRT1900ACS Ver2 DD-WRT to Gargoyle?
I have a WRT1900ACS Ver2 with DD-WRT on it what would be the best way of flashing this to Gargoyle.
Flash back to original factory firmware or if possible flash straight to Gargoyle.

Back to stok first just to be sure. Don't forget that the wrt routers have 2 partitions and you can do the power on and off 3 times trick to boot to partition with the alternative fermwair on it. It's saved my ass before lol

Thanks for that, I did a bit more research and decided to boot to the second partition via the 3 power reset method.
Once back to the original firmware on second partition I flashed latest factory firmware to get it back to standard then flashed latest Gargoyle firmware onto the router, so far so good.
Will keep a eye on it and see if all is good.

Can someone please tell me which firmware version to use?

Thanks!
So just to confirm, you flush to OpenWRT and then to Gargoyle?

This should not be necessary for your router unless Linksys have begun locking them down.
In that case I would flash to LEDE first, then sysupgrade to Gargoyle.
If you are coming from DDWRT I would return to stock first.
Make sure you use Factory image for the first flash whether you start at Gargoyle or LEDE

Sorry for all thee questions Lantis but I can't seem to find any information about this.
Once I install OpenWRT (Shelby), I will have OpenWRT on the router not Gargoyle?
I'm assuming then I need to download Gargoyle (Marvell Armada Shelby) and install it on top of OpenWRT?

Yes, but only if going to Openwrt first is a necessary step.
Why aren’t you going straight to Gargoyle ?
