You might be better of discussing with manufacturer or also see
if there is a forum on the manufacturers (D-Link) website

1) Basic troubleshooting - do you have another computer you can connect to the ethernet port of the dsl modem?

2) Have you tried a different ethernet cable between the computer and adsl modem?

3) Do you see lights on the ethernet ports on the adsl modem and your computer when the cable is connected?

Some basic troubleshooting would give a LOT more info.
