TP-LINK Archer C7 V2
I am trying to install gargoyle 1.8.1 fresh on my new TP-LINK ARCHER C7 V2 and I keep getting "Error 18005: Upgrade unsuccessfully because the version of the upgraded file was incorrect. Please check the file name." I have tried renaming the file to ArcherC7v2_en_us_3_15_1_up_boot(160719).bin, the name of the latest firmware version from the TP-LINK website, as well as shortening the name to things like "factory.bin". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

You need to jump through the hoops to make it work due to firmware lockdowns from tplink.

Thanks for the link. Sorry I missed that one in my searches. I am pretty new to this. I will have a go at it.
