ADSL modem

When PC is not used for a long period,do I have to turn off the internet ADSL modem? When ADSL moden is on, it usually generates high temprature,therefore I presume that when I am not using my computer it's better if I turn off the modem in order to cool it down.Am I right?

You can turn your modem off if you wish but there should be no damage to your modem if you leave it on.

I leave my modem on at all times.
