Hi all,
Thanks to /u/Lantis I am now running Gargoyle! Very exciting. So the first thing I wanted to do was setup a restriction to facebook on school nights after a certain time.
I setup the rules in the firewall section, all really simple stuff. I pressed the Add New Rule button after setting it all up and the rule then appeared in the Current Restrictions area with a tick under the enabled column.
All looking good.
I tested the rule by browsing to facebook and no, I was still allowed. Strange as I was testing the rule by saying any domain with "facebook" during all hours of all days. Once working I was going to change the hours etc.
So I went back and reloaded the firewall / restrictions area and the rule I'd created was gone.
Thought I was going mad, so I made it again. Sure enough, if I navigate away and come back to the firewall / restrictions area, the rule is gone again.
I'm using:
Device Name:Gargoyle
Gargoyle Version:1.9.0
Model:TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v2
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks a tonne.. Rob

Re: Access Restrictions not saving
NOTE: This isn't a bug this was human error.
I hadn't pressed the great big "SAVE CHANGES" button at the bottom.
Slaps face with hand.
Nothing to see, walk along....

Re: Access Restrictions not saving
Hi mate and lol!
We all have those moments. Don't forget that Gargoyle can not block https sites. So it can block http://facebook.com but not https://www.facebook.com
One more thing, to help keep my kids off nasty sites I use OpenDNS have a look.
