I have Gargoyle 1.5.10 on my TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v1 with an Iomega 1TB USB EHDD connected as \Volume1. After a reboot I am able to connect to the drive from either Windows XP or Windows 7 computers on my network. However, after a while (and possibly certain events, but I haven't been able to pinpoint anything in particular) the Volume1 is no longer visible and the only way to get it back is to reboot the router. Restarting the USB drive (it has an on/off switch) has no effect.
What can I do to make the mounted drive more "persistent"?
Thanks,
Riffraff

Re: USB Storage Not Staying Connected
I've also see this with TL-WR1043ND v2 on 1.9.X.
I recently moved to a 250GB Iomega drive which is disconnecting occasionally, i never saw this with a 16GB Usb stick.
I was going to revert to the last stable 181 and see if it behaves similarly. The iomega drive has optional power so im wondering if the USB ports 5v is dropping and caugin the issue.

That will almost certainly be the cause.
