How do i check the installed build version?
In an archer C7 fom a factory 1.9.1, I did a sysupgrade. After 30+ min it was stuck in "upgrading, please wait". So i decided to try to log in a new tab. After succesful login, I cannot tell a difference, nor i am able to find out what the full version it actually is. It just still says "1.9.1" through the web ui.

Hi mate log in to your router using WinSCP username root and the password you set in the webGUI.
Then look for the file /etc/banner
Mine says:
edit:ispy
Then look for the file /etc/banner
Mine says:
Code: Select all

Did you mean ftp or sftp, because neither of those is connecting me in filezilla with said root/pass. I'm getting cannot connect server and conection refused respectively.
Re: How do i check the installed build version?
He meant SCP like he said.
It would be simpler to just SSH into the router and look at the banner text which comes up on successful login.
I suspect the upgrade didn't go anywhere and you are still 1.9.1
If it said "1.9.X" then it would also tell you what code change you were on.

Re: How do i check the installed build version?
Nevermind, i found that upon ssh login you get that information printed.
Now i know i am on 55922fbd from july 07 2016.
But i cannot link that info to any of the mentioned firmwares. Such info is not shown at the download section. The only i now is that I have "latests" experimental 1.9.1 "factory" and "sysupgrade".

Sorry there are holes in my IT game.He meant SCP like he said
I'll try upgrade again. How long should it take? I'll check time.

Re: How do i check the installed build version?
I suspect it is working since upon login settings are restored. just that the upgrading message is a bit misleading.
I'll guess I'm on "latest" 1.9.1 whatever. Anyways, is it worth going 1.9.x?

Re: How do i check the installed build version?
The latest experimental build is actually 1.9.X and not 1.9.1, and can always be found on the "Show / Tell / Contribute" forum.cpucpu wrote: But i cannot link that info to any of the mentioned firmwares.
