I can't see anything obviously wrong.
I can only suggest upgrading to 1.9.1 and trying again however I can't offer any guarantees and am out of ideas.

Problem solved took cover off found hidden wan port. For some reason the manufacturer only had it setup for Lan connection. :P

Thanks for the help last time Eric after finally getting connection established. The link keeps dropping out at the bridge end. I have internet and ssid at the AP When the config page of the bridge looks ok to me I have posted screen shots. I am unsure if I should disable DHCP at the gateway,I am using pppoe to connect to the NBN fixed wireless modem (NTD).

The IP needs to be outside the bridge subnet (it says right there).
Leave DHCP on the gateway.
