Web access

Post by willrj »

I'm configuring the GGR02 Gargoyle Gigabit Router that I purchased last week. I need help in setting up web access. I have these default settings:

Web Admin Protocol: HTTP & HTTPS
Local HTTP Port: 80
Local HTTPS Port: 443
Remote Web Admin Access: HTTPS
Remote HTTPS port: 443
Web Login Session Length: 15 minutes
Disable password protection of web interface: unchecked

There is no IP address defined. How do I do the web access?

Thank you.

It defaults to 192.168.1.1 as per the Connection->Basic settings for Router IP

But you must already know that since you are configuring it... so are you asking something else?

Thank you, Lantis. Oh yes, I was asking the wrong question. It should be how do I access the router remotely?

You need to know your WAN IP, which is your "public address".
If you have a dynamic IP it might be worth setting up DDNS so you can always find your router.

Your WAN IP should be on the main overview page.

Got it. I'm able to log in remotely. Thanks again, Lantis!
