timing out

Post by stowaway »

I currently use a belkin router with Garygoyle installed on it to share my internet in my house hold.

Im having strange problems on multiple computers so i assume its to do with the router.

Things like Youtube will stop downloading half way through and wont continue. Also when i download things from webpages it'll get half way (sometimes not evne that) and not continue.

Unsure if its related. but also I dont receive all my msn Live messages and on a work computer I will notice my home computer will continuely drop out and in.

any ideas?

What model Belkin Router?

What firmware version of Gargoyle are you running?

Do you have QoS active?

Any restrictions, etc?

Cable-modem or DSL?

Hi,
Sorry not a belkin. thats my old router.
I have a Linksys WRT54GL

I turned off QOS to diagnose it and havent used it for a couple of months.

I have a ADSL2 modem attached to it.

and i recently upgraded my gargoyle version to 1.3.3 to see if that fixes it (no luck)

I have quotes on my computer that allow 3 people 8 gig on peak and unlimited off peak (12pm to 6am) and myself 30gig on peak unlimited off peak.
