Don't repeatedly hit save. Just dump the whole lot in there and then hit save.
OR
Every time you hit save; leave the page and come back.

I wasnt repeatedly hitting save.
I was only saving after adding the devices in each room (ie maybe 4 at a time?)
I have a DHCP static list of 27 devices to enter.
Just to clarify, there is not way to transfer from a previous device running the same build of gargoyle is there?

Should I not use the ispy build and go back to the release build?

Thats kind of what i mean by repeatedly. I've been working with another user experiencing a similar problem with indexes getting messed up and causing a problem.
You can transfer DHCP.
Get the files at:
/etc/ethers
and
/etc/hosts
and copy those over.

Lantis I did some more testing and I think I have a bigger issue.
Heres what I did.
1) Turn on new router
2) Connect to web config and get asked for password
3) Type in default "password" and get asked to set new password and time zone.
4) Use the "reboot" option in the web config to reboot the router.
All settings are wiped and the router defaults back to original state (ie. default password of "password"
My thoughts immediately jump to a write access permissions error as it seems that none of my config changes are getting saved. I logged into the new router via winSCP and everything seems to have the correct permissions and correct owner though.
Any idea what could be causing this?
Also
If I wanted to copy my complete config from my old router to my new via WinSCP would it simply be a matter of copying the entire /etc dir?

Another test.
I tried transferring the hosts and ethers file from my old router to my new via scp.
I put the files on the new router then power cycled the router.
Files are gone and only defaults remain.....

I believe I fixed it.
Previously I had installed the latest ispy firmware img and had the issues.
This time I installed the firmware release img (from the website download page) and then used the ispy upgrade file.
No issues.
It may be worth checking that something hasnt occurred with the latest branch in regards to the initialisation system with a fresh install?
