I want to gargoylify a Netgear WNR2200.
Now I wonder, why there are 2 diffrent versions of the Firmware

How do I know which one to pick ?

One is a "North America" version. There are slight hardware differences.
You'd have to google how to tell the two apart so you can find out what you have.

should be renamed to gargoyle_1.9.0-ar71xx-generic-wnr2200-squashfs-factory-PES.img for more intuitive identification.
