Hello,
Noob here. Just purchased Gargoyle brand router pre-configured. Have nearly everything I need set up, but am struggling with configuring my DDNS service.
I use OpenDNS (to keep kids "safe"ish). I have an OpenDNS account, and adding it via the "Dynamic DNS Services" menu, and it shows as active now.
BUT, my tests show that it is not enabled as I can browse to websites that should be blocked.
What am I missing?
Also, bonus second question, is there a way to force DDNS services by IP (like my Netgear could), so that Dad (me) has access to everything, whereas my kids have to go through OpenDNS.
Thanks!
-Chris

Re: Dynamic DNS Services
OK, problem solved for #1.
The basic setting had reverted to google DNS servers on the basic tab after adding OpenDNS in the DDNS settings. Odd, anyways...
Any way to allow particular IP addresses to bypass OpenDNS or use an alternate DNS service?

Re: Dynamic DNS Services
Not easily but yes.
Make sure you're not forcing the router DNS. And then for each of your devices manually set your DNS to something other than your openDNS.
I think an easier alternative is a paid subscription to opendns but... $$

Thanks Lantis,
I could not get the "different DNS" option to work on my network, and wasn't sure what the paid OpenDNS solution was. Scoured the OpenDNS website and couldn't find any features related to my requirement.
