I have problems to set up Gargoyle Router with my DSL Modem. There is no bridiging mode available on my DSL Modem.
I have connected both devices.
Then I have assigned on my DSL Modem a static IP (192.168.2.100) the Gateway is still 192.168.2.1
On the Gargoyle Router I assigned a static IP for WAN 192.168.2.101.
DHCP LAN is 192.168.1.100. But I have no internet connection.
What I am doing wrong?

Still no internet connection when using gargoyle router.

Re: Gargoyle doesn't work with DSL Modem
Okay now I think I have setted up the proper config but there still isn't any internet connection over gargoyle Router.
Modem
Static ip: 192.168.2.1
Gateway: 192.168.2.3
Gargoyle Router
Basic:
Static ip: 192.168.2.2
gateway: 192.168.2.1
LAN
192.168.3.1
Why I still have no internet over gargoyle?

Re: Gargoyle doesn't work with DSL Modem
Does this page help?
https://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/do ... ario-modem
You will choose the "not to Bridge"alternative in the doco

Re: Gargoyle doesn't work with DSL Modem
Is it necessary to enable PPPoE on Modem when using the method not to bridge? This modem doesn't have PPPoE option.
On another modem it worked when I enabled PPPoE and bridge mode.

Re: Gargoyle doesn't work with DSL Modem
Set up your modem so that you can plug a computer into it and it will be connected to the Internet.
Then instead of the computer, plug that cable into the WAN of the gargoyle.
Set it to DHCP wired (or static if you must).
As you have been doing, ensure that the LAN subnet is different to that of the WAN (modem).
Then connect the computer to the LAN (or wifi) of the Gargoyle and test internet connection.
If this doesn't help, you need to give us more details, and a diagram of your network so that we can point out exactly where to put everything.

Re: Gargoyle doesn't work with DSL Modem
Thanks this worked!!!
The most important part was to change from static ip to dhcp on the gargoyle router. Modem LAN Port is connected to Gargoyle Router WAN Port via cable.
On the Gargoyle in the Internet/WAN area instead of Static IP I selected
DHCP
Current IP is 192.168.0.2
Now it works flawlessly.
