Restricions and MAC addresses
I notice in the restrictions section you can block everything but allow a specific range of ip addresses or a mac addresses access to the web.
Question, Can you put in more than 1 specific mac address?
looking for 4 Mac addresses... 2xPhones and 2xTablets
My current router is fairly basic and you can only block mac addresses . which is fine, until the kids figured out how to spoof mac addresses..
PS (Gargoyle compatible Router on the way....)

Re: Restricions and MAC addresses
You certainly can.
You can specify them in a range, or with mac addresses, specify one, click "add", then you will be given the option to add another.

Hi there i am fighting the same battle and winning!
When you get your new router take a look at OpenDNS:
https://www.opendns.com/home-internet-security/
It's grate at blocking most naughty websites.
The ad block plugin is verry cool to.

Re: Restricions and MAC addresses
Everything up and running...
I have set up using restrictions to prevent network access with a couple of exceptions...
what happens if the talented teenager spoofs my mac address I presume he would then get access to internet...
system is a billion 7700n v2 as bridged mode and TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v2.1 working AOK.....
took a couple of reboots /resets the billion to get it to remember to be a bridge...

Re: Restricions and MAC addresses

http://support.netcommwireless.com/sm/v ... etup-guide
I ended up using the info from site and used the wizard after a couple of factory resets...
wierd its the same os I suppose netcomm and billion are related somehow...

Gargoyle - Connection - Static IP - Enforce DHCP assignments
And shake the kids hand - he is learning fast

Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

Re: Restricions and MAC addresses
yes I cannot even be angry at him its a good learning experience on how the internet hangs together...
all going well at the moment...
going to look at opendns as suggested..
ohh I dont suppose it can be set up where different mac addresses can be directed to use different DNS
i.e the TV point toward unotelly DNS and Teenagers at opendns and adults at googledns

Re: Restricions and MAC addresses
Dammit.. he did as I would have, and spoofed an allowed mac address. unfortunately he choose my most active device to spoof... so it became apparent fairly quickly....
so going to try and enforce dhcp assignments to see if that helps...
