This forum is full of threads about it but I can't find anything to explain what it is.
Does it have a homepage? What does it do? Is it a variation on the firmware or something else?
What is "gargoyle-ispy"?

Re: What is "gargoyle-ispy"?
Hi there ispy = ispyisail who is a mod on the forums.
He verry kindly builds Gargoyle in his spare time between releases so that we can test out the latest code. To help find any nasty bugs that mite make it to people with not as much experience in flashing firmware.
His builds are the same as the builds you get on the download page with the latest fixes.
Hope this helps. I have stickyed this thread to help any one who mite have the same question.

Ah brilliant, thanks for that tapper.
So these are basically interim builds of the official (but work-in-progress) code for people to try out?

I wish I knew this earlier! Been waiting for a newer version than 1.90 that was already complied.tapper wrote:I have stickyed this thread to help any one who mite have the same question.
There should be a note and link on Home page, under "Latest News" after the "Versions 1.9.0 & 1.8.1" stating that latest compiled beta builds are located in this forum, and another note and link somewhere on the Download page!

Re: What is "gargoyle-ispy"?
That's good and everything, but it doesn't distinguish work which occurs on different branches of development.Andy wrote:You can also view the details of the changes here http://www.gargoyle-router.com/gargoyle ... e/activity
Plus, you miss out on some of the conversation that occurs.
I'd recommend if you're serious about keeping an eye on development to browse the git repository at http://github.com/ericpaulbishop/gargoyle
If you just want a casual idea though, that link is great
