Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

hello, uploaded this on a wndr4300v1 and found only one issue. any usb flash drives attached are not being recognized. there is no activity going on. i have it set up without issues on a wndr3700v4. if someone has a wndr4300v1, can you please check this small issue? i am hoping this is a dead usb port but just want to make sure. if not, i will reload the netgear software and see if the usb port works with stock firmware. thanks....

I went further. I took 740n version 4.2 and there just is not working the bridge.
I will describe what and how to set up.
Worth 1043nd version 1, it is configured as an access point, set it on OpenWrt Chaos Calmer 15.05
Then I connect it to the routers with this version of firmware (gargoyle-ispy 2015-December-18).
With these settings:

And as I wrote earlier version 1.8.0 everything works. In 1.9.0 and higher bridge Wi-Fi is not working.

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-December-18 06:33.torrent
Unfortunately I had to abandon my DIR-615 C1 in favor of a modified WL-500GP V1 with a Single-Band Wireless N miniPCI module. I'm now using a custom Oleg firmware disgned specifically for this scenario.
Gargoyle was just becoming completely unstable. I would have to reset it very often because it would bog down severely at least once a day, and this morning twice within one hour.
I hope OpenWRT fixes this issue. I am also getting much better reception with the WL-500GP V1 at only 17dBM.

So I'm getting the same problem with a completely different platform (Broadcom), on a completely different firmware... The slowness does not manifest as much as it did with Gargoyle, but it is certainly there at random.uiotewre wrote:Unfortunately I had to abandon my DIR-615 C1 in favor of a modified WL-500GP V1 with a Single-Band Wireless N miniPCI module. So I think this has more to do with channel congestion that it has to do with the firmware. I'll have to play around with the channels. Unfortunately I only have single-band N at the moment.
Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-December-18 06:33.torrent
I think I may have traced the problem somewhat. Something on my network is causing massive CPU spiking on the router:uiotewre wrote:So I'm getting the same problem with a completely different platform (Broadcom), on a completely different firmware... I'll have a look at my Linksys SPA2102, maybe trying a Grandstream HT502 in its place. Or it could be an iPhone 6. Not sure...
Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-December-18 06:33.torrent
After replacing the SPA2102 with a Grandstream HT502, the CPU spiking seems to have gone away.
So it looks like the SPA2102 with the most recent firmware has issues.
I'm going to stick with the Oleg router for now. Gargoyle is better, because eventhough my Oleg build is relatively new, it is not as cutting edge. But I'm getting a better signal with the Broadcom than with the Atheros.
