X-FTA Dongle

Post by KornHole »

I have seen screen shots of the rq sssp GUI in the x-fta dongle and noticed its modified Gargoyle firmware. Has anyone tried to backup or dump that firmware to write to another router such a linksys with the same specs? And if so could you post it for download

Mods if this post is not in the right place please feel free to move it accordingly, Thanks!

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish?

You can just download Gargoyle firmware images in the Downloads
section - for either Atheros or Broadcom devices.

As far as modified Gargoyle interface, it could be.

Since Gargoyle is open source, they may have downloaded it and
customized it for their hardware and or added different features.

The manufacturer may have firmware updates, but I don't think
you can just flash that firmware to a regular router.

Well... I take that back, you COULD flash their firmware to a
regular router - and you COULD end up with a nifty door-stop!
