Try clearing your browser cache between the two stepslollapalooza wrote:When I try to open the link for testing I see that my browser's adblocker (uBlock) is blocking 10 ads. If I disable the pluigin and open the page again, I still see uBlock with 10 ads blocked.

I saved the settings after downloading the updated list and yes, of course I tried to clear the cache, but nothing changes.

Re: Adblock Plugin
Well, as I said, which would rule out the need to clear the cache, use privacy/incognito mode. If it doesn't work in it, try updating it again, saving it, then restarting your router. Then try in a new private tab/window.

Re: Adblock Plugin
ccleaner is not the answer
OS is fine: it's a Windows 10 fresh installation, and I tried with both Firefox 41.0.2 and IE11...
After clearing the cache I also tried privacy/incognito mode with Firefox, but still with same result.
I also tried to uninstall the plugin and then install again (and rebooting the router after every step), but still same result.
I think it's not the browser... there shall be an issue with the plugin.
At the moment I'm using 1.01 included with standard repositories.
Shall I use the one from lantisproject?

Re: Adblock Plugin
You can try 1.0.4 but if the version you are using isn't working it is unlikely those changes will affect you.
Please confirm the following file exists on your router:
/etc/block.hosts
And also the end of your dnsmasq config is "addnhosts /etc/block.hosts"
Also please confirm that under /etc/firewall.user you have two entry's for port 53.
Also please report the DNS server address your computer is using.
Regards.

Re: Adblock Plugin
Lantis, thanks for answer.
File /etc/block.hosts does exist (about 400 K)
Last row of /etc/config/dhcp (dnsmasq section) is list addnhosts '/etc/block.hosts'
File /etc/firewall.user has got only 2 rows, and here they follow:
iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -p tcp --dport 53 -j REDIRECT --to-ports 53
iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -p udp --dport 53 -j REDIRECT --to-ports 53
At last, section Connection -> Basic of the GUI is configured to use Default DNS Server specified by ISP
At the beginning I had set OpenDNS, but after reading the topic I changed it back to default ISP.

Re: Adblock Plugin
It's configured with DHCP client, so it should use DNS server provided by the router (in my case it's 192.168.0.1).
Anyway now I'm at work, so when I go back home I'll check and update.
Thanks.

Re: Adblock Plugin
If it is using the correct DNS server then I have no explanation
I would be keen for you to test with a different machine.
