Random Reboot on WDR36000
Hi, I've got a TP-Link WDR3600. I used OpenWRT for one years without issues, now I've installed Gargoyle since one month and an annoying problem occurring randomly.
Sometimes the router reboot spontaneously. It reboot itself and turn operative in 1 minute (wifi switch off and then I see the uptime restarted). Often while I'm using torrent and browser, other times only while browsing on youtube for example. Maybe for too global connection?
I'm using the router on AP+WDS mode, bandwith limiter (in the quotas tab) and dual band wifi (2.4 + 5ghz). Running Gargoyle 1.8.0
Any tips?

Re: Random Reboot on WDR36000
same router and I have no problems

I see this kind of report every so often and 9 times out of 10 torrents are mentioned
I suspect overloaded router?

Re: Random Reboot on WDR36000
Maybe Quotas are the problem, now I'm testing without this option.
Re: Random Reboot on WDR36000
keep us updated
Re: Random Reboot on WDR36000
Rock solid for 2 days without Quotas.
Re: Random Reboot on WDR36000
Now I can confirm that Quotas are the problem

Thanks for reportingfedeciad wrote:Now I can confirm that Quotas are the problem
If you can create a procedure that can induce the problem straight away Eric will fix the bug in no time flat.
Re: Random Reboot on WDR36000
Sorry, but sometime it happened when I was one Youtube and sometime when I was downloading from uTorrent, I don't know how to repeat the issue

Re: Random Reboot on WDR36000
Had the same problem on my old WRT160nl. I thought it was his end of life time after many years heavy usage. Replaced it by a Netgear WNDR4300.
Also have the same problem with the random reboots. After removing the quatas (not just disabling), the reboots are gone. Thinking backwards, the problem started approximately version 1.7.2. Sadly i haven't now quatas anymore, so please fix this problem
