Help setting up bandwidth restriction

Hi there,

I am new at this, I have read everything I can and searched the forums, I cant find the answers so I need assistance.

I have 2 computers connected to a WNDR3800 running gargoyle. I want to limit only the bandwidth speed of one of the PCs. I don't need to restrict the total download data, only the download SPEED?

Also I have tried setting it up, and the other user got a warning from gargoyle router when they reached a quota? I want the speed limited without any warnings or knowledge of the other user. Thanks for any help.

you'll want to put them in a QOS class then with a maximum bw limit.

I want to restrict their download speed to say 200 kb/s etc?

thanks one last question, the other user will not get any messages or warnings on their end from the router?
