Hi there
I am using a DLink DSL-2640U ADSL router as my access point and a Linksys WRT54GL with Gargoyle 1.2.3 firmware as my Wireless Bridge/Repeater. Gargoyle is set up in Wireless Bridge/Repeater mode and everything works fine when I connect a pc with the lan cable to the linksys, I can browse other computers and the internet. I have set the Gargoyle's Broadcast SSID different to the DLink's. Wireless devices connects fine to the DLink but cannot connect to the Linksys, it tries to connect but doesn't accept the password. The password on the Linksys is the same as on the DLink. Also if the Gargoyle's Broadcast SSID is the same as that of the DLink, how will I know which wireless device my pc is connected to?
Thanks
Johan

Re: Gargoyle Wireless Bridge-Repeater
Wireless repeater mode and AP+Client mode on broadcom hardware have had problems for a while now. Bridge mode works, but repeater mode does not.
OpenWrt "upgraded" the broadcom driver, and broke the ability to have both a client and an ap ssid, which is necessary for this to work. I've tried a couple things to address it, but fixing this issue has proved very frustrating.

Re: Gargoyle Wireless Bridge-Repeater
How about making a Gargoyle bcm 2.6 beta to test out?
Re: Gargoyle Wireless Bridge-Repeater
That's my current plan, as soon as I finish migrating to Backfire.
