guest laptop access restrictions

Hello,

I am very new with gargoyal, I am using 1.6.2 with TL-WR1043ND.

I want to allow guest laptops to access internet only, and they should not access computers on local network.

How to do it ?

You will have to upgrade to Gargoyle 1.8.0 then
Gargoyle - Connection - Basic - Wireles - Guest Network - enable

(Guest wifi has been a bit unstable in my experience)

I can give only wire access (no wi-fi) to guest laptops, then this is doable in 1.6.2 ?

Definitely possible in 1.6.2, but not easily with the GUI (unless I am missing something). I suspect that you would need to adjust the firewall directly via the command line. I have not done a config like this so I will let others guide you further .....
