Block internet access but allow network access

Post by DullRazr »

Can anyone provide a step-by-step on how to configure a firewall restriction that will allow a client access to the network but block it from connecting to the internet?

So there are a few ways to achieve this ....

First assign a static IP address to the client
Gargoyle - Connection - DHCP - Static IPs
Select the hostname in question from the drop down box and assign an IP address. Look at the DHCP section above to help select a suitable Static IP address. If the DHCP Section has Start: 192.168.1.100 and End: 92.168.1.249 then you could choose 192.168.1.50 (192.168.1. MUST be the same as the DHCP section and the .50 should be outside the DHCP range)

Second restrict the access for the client
Gargoyle - Firewall - Quotas
Description:block internet
Applies to: Only the following hosts 192.168.1.50
Max Total Up+Down 0MB/day
When Exceeded: Shut down all Internet Access
Add New Quota
Save Changes
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?
TL-WDR3600 : Gargoyle 1.9.0 : NBN FixedWireless
TL-WR1043ND-V2 : Gargoyle 1.8.0 : 3G Huawei E160E
