Hopefully somebody might have a suggestion or has run across this problem and know what might be causing it.
I flashed my wndrmacv2 roughly a week ago and noticed within the first day that my wireless connections would randomly stop routing to the wan interface. The interface stays up and can connect to it on both main and guest wifi and access devices on the lan but no inet access. Wired computers all access the net just fine.
Initially I had 1.7.2 then when I first noticed the problem, rebooted the router and it happened again within a couple hours I switched to the latest stable build 1.6.2 to see if it would correct the problem but it still randomly fails to route net traffic for wireless clients.
I can change wifi settings on the router and apply without rebooting and the wireless starts functioning properly for a while but eventually fails again.
I have tried disabling the guest network and switching operation modes but nothing seems to stop the random wireless issue.

Re: wlan problem
Almost hate to say anything because of course it'll die now but 4+ days the wifi has been up now. The only thing I changed was checking the "Use Google DNS" box.
Not sure why only the wifi clients web access were affected and why the google DNS would have any effect when the ISP's DNS was obviously working fine for the wired clients but eh... so far so good.

Re: wlan problem
do you have any plugins installed?
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

Re: wlan problem
Outside of themes I have "logread, minidlna, openvpn, tor, usb printer, webcam and wifi scheduling" plugins installed. all but logread and wifi scheduler plugins are stock plugins and both were installed to attempt to troubleshoot the issue after it started. it's been over 5 days now and wifi is still going.
I don't really mind using google dns servers as they are a bit faster than the ISP's defaults. Still puzzled why the DNS lookups started failing at random times only for wifi connected clients.

Re: wlan problem
Just a hunch ... could you uninstall some of the plugins and see if it makes a difference? I have seen a similar (but different) issue and removing the tor plugin fixed it. However I have not yet confirmed that tor was the culprit, or if it was a memory limitation weirdness and that tor was simply taking up space.

Re: wlan problem
All but the logread and wifi scheduling plugins have greyed out uninstall buttons. Guessing you can't remove the plugins that are included with the stock firmware image using the html UI.
As I mentioned earlier the problem existed bone stock on 1.7.2, 1.7.1 and 1.6.2. The logread and wifi plugins were added to attempt to trouble shoot the issue. Logread for obvious reasons and WiFi scheduler thinking maybe for some reason there was something set there bydefault causing the wifi to drop inet access that I simply couldn't view without it.
The wifi has been staying up since the Google DNS setting i changed. Almost afraid to touch it now
. It was wigging out often enough I was about to switch to DD-WRT to have something stable but I much prefer the openwrt feature set and easy to use gargoyle UI.
Eventually curiosity will probably win out and I'll risk the cries from the kids yelling about youtube messing up to look deeper into why it was doing that before the DNS settings change but for now I'm happy it's consistently working.
EDIT: Tor client and server are both disabled. The plugin can't be removed via the web UI. It's possible I could SSH in and remove it but not sure how the firmware would handle it if it's forcibly removed.

Re: wlan problem
Thanks for the info. I will look into my setup a bit further when I have the chance.
PS I was only asking about removing plugins with the GUI - not some more invasive approach!
