BLOCK YOUTUBE APP

Ive tried blocking yourtube from the firewall.
But, only youtube via a browser is blocked

If you use an app to run youtube - it will run even though there is a block active on youtube

any way out ??

Website URL - Block Only
Domain Contains - youtube.com
Full URL Contains - youtube

according to my googling, you might also need to block a few more urls.

• youtube.com
• m.youtube.com
• youtu.be
• ytimg.com
• l.google.com
• googlevideo.com

Try this and see how you get on.

The issue with blocking so many url word is that it will eventually block gmail and google too

I agree.
What router do you have?
If you have sufficient space and ram you might look at installing something like Privoxy. It's a very powerful transparent proxy. I don't know if it'll play nice wth Gargoyle however.

I have 2 routers

TP link TL-WR740N

and TP link Wr 1043ND

Do you have a particular link for the proxy ? tested ?
