The GUI does not change the passwords correctly in some cases. It is definitely problem when changing the password, because using passwd does not generate this effect. Especially frustrating, when you just flashed your router, changed the password and cannot login anymore (SSH isn't configured yet to authenticate via certificate)
How to reproduce: Try to change the password (via Gargoyle) to mam$_a... And try to login again with that password...
