Connectivity lost after a while on phones

Post by uysiquebien »

Hello. I have setup a network repeater, connected via client bridge.

When I connect a phone (this was tested on a Nokia phone, a Samsung phone and an Asus tablet), after a while (several minutes, hours, etc -- it's random) the connection stays established, but nothing works anymore. I cannot access the Internet, and I cannot access the router.

When several seconds/minutes pass, or if I reconnect manually to the network, it works again.

Any clues?

Just for the record this was solved with:

Code: Select all

option 'disassoc_low_ack' '0'

Your suggestion is unrelated to this thread, you'd be better advised creating a new topic under Feature Requests: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=13 or even under Monitoring / Quota / QoS Issues: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=12

*UPDATE*: Didn't you post this very same question/suggestion last month? http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... 755#p27374

OK, so... I updated to 1.7.1 and my own proposed workaround does not work anymore... Any ideas?

I don't see anything relevant in logread (with log_level == 0)... Just constant GTK rekeyings every ten minutes... But I think it is normal isn't it?

I have tried switching channels, HT40-, HT40+, HT20, 802.11g, etc

I read this is a bug with the NAT ARP system that Gargoyle uses. I also tried enabling STP for the bridge.

So this is a bug or a shortcoming of the NAT ARP system that can't be fixed?

Downgrading to 1.6.2 didn't help... :(

I need to know how to troubleshoot this.

Not sure if mentioning this is much help but I get a lot of unstability if I have the channel widened to 40 Mhz.

With 20 MHz only both (Android) mobile phones are stable and remain connected with dataflow.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately, I have tried this already. Stability is similar with both options.
