Limit Uploads Qos?????

Hi
Virgin has a upload traffic management policy which im hitting every night so im having my internet reduced daily
I have a couple of Openelec boxes connected and a xbox connected all wired
Is there a router i could buy that would let me set the the upload speed so i wouldn't get capped every night

Hi yes you can do this using a router that is loaded with Gargoyle.

You must be uploading and downloading a lot mate because i am on VM 50 meg and have 26 devices on my network. I have 5 kids and share with a neighbor and never get capt.

If you use the quoter feature wen you reach your bandwidth limit then it wood cut your internet off i think i have never used it.

BTW The router you get free from VM is shit! Any router with Gargoyle on will knock spots off the free one from VM.

Just turned my box on left it idle and it uploaded 301mb no wonder im being traffic managed

As well as manage your uploads, gargoyle provides detailed usage statistics per device which will allow you to track down what and why is using your quota.
