Question about TL-WR1043ND v1.8

Post by Schnurzel »

Hi Community,

i have the TL-WR1043ND v1.8. I have problems with WLAN (clients lost signal at times). I have the latest OEM firmware installed: 3.13.15 Build 140319 Rel.41339n

Is it ok to install the gargoyle firmware (stable or exp) or is it necessary to flash a older OEM first? i red something on the OpenWRT wiki.

Thanks, and sorry for my bad english. ;)

I thought that the latest stable build 1.6.2 might be a better place to start??
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

I have installed the gargoyle_1.7.x-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr1043nd-v1-squashfs-factory.bin and it runs very good. The wifi is now very stabil without any disconnects. I am very happy!! :)

But i mentioned that the transfer rate is slightly low. With OEM i had estimate ~70 Mbit/s with my laptop, now it hangs at 40 Mbit/s. Any idea?

Settings see attachment.

Wireless Adapter of laptop is Intel® WiFi Link 5100 AGN.
