TP Link MR3220 V1.2 Not working

Post by savmamba »

Hi, I have a TP Link TL-MR3220 Ver 1.2. Shortly after purchasing it I flashed an upgrade to 20130113. However I still could not get WDS to work so looked on the internet and found this Gargoyle software and decided to give it a go. First of all I flashed it with gargoyle_1.6.2-ar71xx-generic-tl-mr3220-v1-squashfs-factory which successfully flashed and I was able to bring up the web interface but I have several problems with it,
1, could not set time zone as there is nothing in the drop down box
2, could change and save the password, could change the login without password option in system settings, but could NOT save anything in the connection details. I would click on the button to save but nothing happened. If I logged out and back in, no connection settings were saved.

I then flashed version gargoyle_1.7.1-ar71xx-generic-tl-mr3220-v1-squashfs-sysupgrade and although the flash succeeded and I am able to bring up the web interface, all the problems of not being able to set any of the settings remain.

On those pages I could save (change password, system options) the "save" would take approx. 20 seconds. My windows 7 intel network monitor does NOT see any wireless activity from the Gargoyle flashed router. I have also tried "factory reset" but still not improvement

Note, I am a WINDOWS user, never used Linux. If there is not fix for my problem. can I reflash the TP Link upgrade that I used previously to at least get a working router back. I hope someone can set me straight as this was going to be my learning project for Linux as I would like to add some small additional functionality to the Gargoyle router.

hi, just flashed 1.5.11, still cannot save connection settings although I can save on other pages, just NOT the connection page. I used PUTTY to login using ssh successfully, the result of an ls was nothing, should there be some files or directories ? I'm fast running out of things to try, anyone got any suggestions?
thanks
