I've just flashed Gargoyle on my router (TL-WR1043NDv2), only to find out that internet connection doesn't work out of the box. I've searched this forum, but while many posts relate to “internet not working”, none solved my issue.
The background of the problem:
- I connect to my ISP via DHCP. That works, and I get a WAP IP same as I get on original firmware.
- Client machine receives an IP from a router, and I can connect to web interface.
- The “active routes” page reveals that there is only one routing active — the one to my lan (10.0.18.0/255.255.255.0 to br-lan, gateway *)
After filling in the missing routes by hand, I got the internet connection to work:
This is not a solution, but a workaround, as this should work automatically. Do you have any idea why this problem occurs?
I have one possible hint. As you see, the gateway IP is from the internal, non-routable range 192.168. The WAN IP of the router is from a public range (195.x.x.x). This setup works out of the box on original firmware.
Please help!
