ok - you have this:

---------------

IP Tables tutorial -

http://www.higherpass.com/linux/Tutoria ... es-Primer/

--------------------

Google on these topics before you try to putty into your router.
I'm advising you this because it sounds like you're not familiar with
this stuff and once you telnet into your router, you have the
ability to really screw things up, which is not a huge problem, as
you can always re-flash the router and start from scratch.

It's just that you might waste a lot of time doing things that you do
not understand fully - but at least you'll be learning!

Well I bought one of these it crapped out first day I had it, and they sent me a second and it lasted two days. The company I bought it from said send them back as Im not the only one having issues with this modle and the factory reset won't work and you can't find what ip the unit is on to log in to the admin page just my luck. :o

I believe you can still find them.

Look for a WRT54G-TM router.

It was for a T-Mobile hotspot, but it can be re-flashed with
other firmware and the bonus is that it has 8MB Flash & 32MB Ram.

That way you won't run out of memory and can configure a lot of
different things / rules / QoS / etc.

They can still be found on the internet and is Gargoyle friendly ;)
