newbie question about shaping

Hi all!
I just registred cause I'm planning to use Gargoyle on a router I just bought for "shaping" my Internet connection.

It's an unlimited ADSL ("infinite" data) so I was thinking that I don't really need to apply quotas to users/machines but I need them to just use a portion/percantage of the bandwidth so that Internet won't be congested.

One machine will be uploading almost at all times backups data and I want to make sure other users/machines will be still able to use voip, streaming and such things with equal privileges.

Hope it makes sense

Would gargoyle firmwares be able to help me in shaping my Internet conncetion?

Yes mate that will be simple two do! Just ad a new rule and set that PC'S traffic to fast and you are golden.
You can ad that PC to a rule by IP or MAC.

I have a Phone on my network that likes to download torrents, so i made a new rule set it two slow and traffic tipe to UDP!

Instent torrent slow down!
