Hiya,
I have a Netgear WNDR3700v2 router with Gargoyle v1.6.0 installed.
Before i switched to the Gargoyle firmware i used the official Netgear firmware which gave me the oportunity to use OpenDNS in combination with Netgear Genie to bypass some restrictions.
I have set up OpenDNS now in Gargoyle to restrict all computers from accessing websites with porn, gambling, nudity, violence, drugs, etc to give my kids a save internet surfing experience.
However, me and my wife want to be able to bypass those settings so we can access sites in certain categories.
I gave all computers, laptops, tablets, TV's and consoles in the network a dedicated IP address, and named them for my own convenience. So i know which connection belongs to which computer.
Is there any way to block certain categories, like OpenDNS is doing, while bypassing those settings from other computers within the network.

The easiest way would be to deselect option "force clients to use routers DNS server" option in Gargoyle web interface and then manually setting DNS IPs on devices (any other DNS server (etc. 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4)), which you don't want to be affected. But remember, depending on how old are your kids, they will probably find a way to get around you blocks .
This could also be solved by using iptables.
