Bricked buffalo wzr-hp-g450h ??

Post by Woodski »

I had dd-wrt on it that crashed about once a month

From telnet I did this

cd /tmp
wget http://www.gargoyle-router.com/download ... pgrade.bin
mtd -e linux -r write gargoyle_1.6.1-ar71xx-generic-wzr-hp-g450h-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin linux

After the reboot i could open 192.168.1.1 in my webbrowser
I choose a password and waited for the reboot

I have a server with 2 networkcards doing the routing so the buffalo wzr-hp-g450h should be just an accesspoint

Now it went wrong
I choose wireless bridge/repeater and disabled DHCP
SSID to join I left "gargoyle" and I changed the broadcasting SSID
Assigned the WAN port to LAN and did a reboot
After that it seems dead :(

I can't talk to 192.168.1.1 anymore, dead
Tried a reset but not sure how
(power unit, wait for diag led off, hold reset 10 seconds, release reset)

Manually set IP address to your computer and then try to access Gargoyle again.

Or do a failsafe reset.
Search for Openwrt failsafe.
