Incorrect quota counts/Error in quota counting

Post by InterestedDrifter »

I have started using Gargoyle from the past 1 week on my TPLINK router successfully.
But lately I have been experiencing errors(4 times) in quota counting.
First of all quota counting was accurate but there was a sudden power outage and router stopped abruptly. My quota usage went down from 30% to 23%.
Later, whenever the power goes off, the quota set for individual IP addresses reduces on next visit.

This usually happens when I use utorrent coupled with/or power outage..

Plzz help..

This data is saved to flash every four hours. Any data accumulated since the last save will be lost by a power reset.

You can find this in /etc/chrond/root and change it there if you like. Google chrond to find out how.

However, your router used flash to save this information and flash has a limited lifetime. If you increase the frequency you will lower the life of your router. No one knows by how much, you can Google "Flash write lifetime" to learn more about this subject.
