Thats what I got from here http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wdr4300 , but Im not sure if that works. If its true, then firmware 130319 should work for me.
Take care here.
The file I used for my V1.7 WDR4300 is from:
http://www.tplink.com/resources/softwar ... 130617.zip
That file DOES have "boot" in the name, and you need to cut the prefix off the file using dd, then use CLI and mtd to write the firmware. It is the only vendor firmware I can find (except for older versions of the same thing).
That is documented from here:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl- ... l.firmware
I had OpenWrt trunk BB installed, so then I first flashed back to original firmware, then flashed Gargoyle V1.6 as per standard install.
I went this way because I didn't know whether I could flash direct from BB trunk to Gargoyle V1.6.
BTW this is still running fine for me doing all expected router functions, and configuration, and graph reports etc., but I haven't worried about any performance issues or testing any further. At this stage, so long as it is performing correctly then I am happy. I haven't hit a quota yet however.
