minidlna, where are the cfg file and media files?

Post by fit »

Hi.

I'm trying to configurate minidlna. I've allready installed it.

The thing is, where is the cfg of this plugin? I'm using extroot, maybe it was installed on a different place as described on the openwrt wiki of minidlna?

Second question: on the configuration file it ask for the path to share with the option media_dir (f.e. media_dir=A,/mnt/sda1/music), but if i surf the folder mnt via ssh, i can't list any files or folder inside it. So how can i point to a folder on my media usb disk? can't find where it mounts.

Thanks.
Sergio.

i encoutered the config file and configured it. I see my server on my smarttv. But no files

I put this line on the config file:

list media_dir 'A,/tmp/usb_mount/dev_sda1/MP3'

because i have no files inside /mnt

so that is the only path i found to see my mp3 files .

But if i put http://192.168.1.1:8200/ on my browser, i see 0 files scanned.

So i don't know how to specify the path on the config file.
need help.. thanks!

ok. It worked.

The cfg was on /etc/config/minidlna

The database and log was pointed to the same place as my music.

And i used this path to point it:

/tmp/usb_mount/756A4E6138EEF2F5

that is equivalent to my sda1 USB.

That's is because i'm not only using dlna, also cifs, nfs and ftp. So i need gargoyle mount automatically my external disk and then after access files my way.

But i needed to uninstall minidlna from shell and install it from gargoyle gui (system/plugins). However, because my usb access is over an unusual path, it should be configured over shell (meaning over ssh, with command "vi /etc/config/minidlna"), and after editing every change manually, then from the gui the ENABLE button must be pressed. And just after that my dlna system works.

Now, serving uninterrupted videos and 40000 mp3 files on my wireless network :)

i can access from my android devices (4.x) as well as my LG lm6200 smart tv and over my lan computers.

hope it helps. I spent too many (many) hours reading alone...
