Network Traffic in Quota?

Post by Farris2k »

Pretty basic question: Is network traffic included in Quotas? I met my cap while downloading between network entities, and I was wondering if the router counted my traffic as part of my quota, or if it was just coincidence.

Side question if the first answer is yes: Is there a way to remove network traffic from quotas? I only need download/upload limits on data traveling through my ISP.

LAN traffic is not counted. ONLY WAN traffic is counted. This is written somewhere in the documentation.

PM me if you need to buy Gargoyle router in Australia/NZ, willing to pay me to help you on your Gargoyle configurations or build custom configured ROM with pre-installed app or try to fix your bricked router. Yes, I am looking for job/work.

Thanks for the quick response. Any way to make it so that it doesn't count WAN traffic?

You could use Openwrt instead of Gargoyle if you don't need to count WAN traffic. The only reason you want to use Gargoyle is to count WAN traffic!!
