openvpn server not working

I'm trying to configure an openvpn server on my 1043nd with gargoyle 1.5.11.
I just tried to activate openvpn at connection -> openvpn -> openvpn server -> save. No special configuration.
Because there were some issues with timeout due to long key generation times I tried to deactivate and activate openvpn again. Thewebinterface told me that port 1194 is already redirected to the router. So I tried to complete reset openvpn config as described here http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... 195#p20376

Now my webinterface say openvpn is running on port 1194, but I can't connect. I tried a online port scan to my external ip and port 1194, telnet localhost 1194 from ssh console. Port 1194 is not reachable.
Can you help me?

Damn openvpn uses UDP.
Telnet and most online port scanner are no good idea for testing udp connections
